Registered as Public Charitable Trust in 1980, ISST has completed 40 years of competently moving towards achieving Gender Equitable Outcomes by engaging in empirical research, capacity building, knowledge sharing and numerous community outreach activities. While the research work comprises of multi-disciplinary social science studies, evaluative studies, evidence building through the gender transformative approach; the community outreach is accomplished through the Saathi Centres for young children and adolescents that work towards empowering them to be better citizens for a democratic society that believe in social justice, inclusion and equality.
