Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC)—Behaviour-based Safety Training Workshop, 9 June 2012, New Delhi
A one-day training workshop was jointly organized by LabourNet, Bangalore, Institute for Human Development, New Delhi, and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT), Delhi Chapter, in New Delhi on 9 June 2012.
The workshop was a capacity building exercise and aimed at creating awareness about behaviour-based safety concepts among the DMRC team members and its contractors. The training workshop modules covered various aspects of safety concerns like life-skills, human behaviour and psychology, stress management skills, staff relationship and communication skills, safety observations skills and time management with safety attitude and culture in workplaces. The training curriculum comprised a psychological and communication exercise, and audio-video presentation by the subject matter experts. About 40 managers, safety managers, supervisors, contractors, engineers, planners, experts and stakeholders from infrastructural companies participated in the programme and benefited from it.
