Dr. G C. Manna is Professor with the Institute for Human Development. Until recently, he was Director General of CSO & NSSO. He has worked with the Government of India in various capacities and positions. He is a member of many committees of Government of India and International organizations, namely, Chairman of Technical Advisory Group on Occupational Wage Survey constituted by M/o Labour& Employment and Technical Advisory Committee for Coverage evaluation Survey constituted by M/o Health & Family Welfare; Member of Working Groups on NSS 75th, 76th & 77th Rounds and also Labour Bureau’s Expert Group on Quarterly Employment Survey. Earlier, he chaired the ILO’s Tripartite Meeting of Experts on Labour Statistics on Advancement of Employment and Unemployment Statistics held in Geneva (2013). Professor Manna has more than 40 publications to his credit.
